Fortunately, after 20 minutes, it settled down to a musky sandalwood that is very pleasant. It is a tiny bit masculine, which I like. There was also a masculine-sandalwood-powdery thing going on, which isn’t baby-powder but rather just a smoothness and creaminess. The sandalwood seems more prominent on my clothing, but on my skin the fruity pear note is clearer. Musk isn’t listed in the notes, but it still seems to be there, possibly contributing to the powderiness I sense. I wish i hadnt let my bottle run out and that i didnt buy more....this was before i knew about discontinuation and reformulation of course and had i known i wouldnt have let this slip but you can only do so much you know? The drydown, although lovely, was a little predictable with sandalwood being the most dominant note followed by patchouli, vanilla and amber. I love MI and use it pretty much as a daily during summer. Was hoping for Unforgivable to be that close indeed so I would have a cheaper daily and use MI for the more special occasions.

It's got this citrus-fruity scent that reminds me a lot of that smell you get when you get a whiff of wet hair that was JUST washed with a really good scented shampoo. I think of that everything I wear it. It's amazing. I was at the supermarket just waiting in line. Typically Murphy's law I ended up on the lane with the older lady arguing her coupon. G-d bless her, but the poor cashier was stressing and trying to calm the woman down by informing her the manager was coming.

Its like me attempting to make my mother's famous cheesecake [pie]...my mother is phenomenal at this; every time I try to replicate this outstanding dessert there is at least 1 ingredient (or more) that I fail to add that prevents mine from tasting as good as hers :o). This frag is best suitable for office or home uses, during summer days. For me, I would not use it for outdoor, clubbing, dinning out coz nothing special at all. So, let me get this straight, just because some folks don't agree with him (or her), they are wrong? This is all supposed to be subjective, numb-nuts! Your opinion is no more right than mine! Sheesh, some people! I have tried this perfume while I was searching a b.day gift for my aunt who is going to be middle of 30s. After the testing, I gotta say this perfume, is strongly recommended for women who are in their late 20s at least and above. (It is very mature scent, that was my opinion when I sniffed it) I feel strongly that this movie needs to be viewed and judged by the public rather than by executives," Combs said. Quality with price considered? Unbeatable! One my male fragrances in my collection (which is a ton) this is no exaggeration, in my top 5.I also fail to describe this since I have a difficult time detecting notes. It's worthy of a try. I thought the world of this when it came out in 2006 but I've since mellowed the point of only wearing it a few times a year at most. I admit that I wouldn't buy it now but Unforgivable does remain to have high marks for uniqueness, at least to me. This would get a perfect 10/10 score from me if performance were slightly better. It isn't terrible...somewhere in the medium range so due to that...I give this one a 9.5/10

Longevity and projection was (and still is) anything from 3-6 hours, which is good for a fragrance of this calibre. Sean John Unforgivable is so smooth that it weaves its way in and out of the crowd without a care, yet lingers long enough for people to take notice and wonder who and where this classy aroma came from. Who the in the world is paying that much for a PH perfume?! So needless to say, no high-end perfumes at that supermarket.I would like to say that it was just bad with my chemistry but I am afraid that that isn't the truth.I just feel that this blend is very ""off"" & very synthetic.It also smells very similar to another scent but I cant remember which one at the moment.It is the floral that smells similar to something else but the rest of this mixture is all on its own. After coming into some money i decided to splurge on it, now i have no idea where i got it from, but i have a vague memory of walking into my local dimly lit department store (macys, dillards, MAYBE jcpennys) fragrance area and asked for a bottle landing myself a sweet little 1.7oz bottle (not knowing there was a bigger bottle) and feeling on top of the world, this was going to be my signature scent.
