The final Celebrating You award to be announced before the first break was The Viv McBeth Award for Fundraiser of the Year – John Royden. Hal Cruttenden, our host for the evening, kicked off Celebrating You by announcing the recipient of our Outstanding Contribution Award – Sarah Lindsell. A rainbow of blooms is topped with festive curly ribbon for a gift that will last long after the party is over. Though based in Sheffield, Celebrating You is available for unions across Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. On a mission to get more female entrepreneurs’ voices heard, Jo, who’s been on her own Imposter Syndrome journey, takes you on an exciting ride as she convinces you you CAN be a media star, and you bloody well deserve to be.

This enables us to show you advertising online and on social media that corresponds to your interests. She became one of our key Young Ambassadors, a group of young adults aged 18-25 who help us raise awareness and bring about change for people affected by this disease. His most significant recent contributions are a liquid biopsy test that can be used to diagnose brain tumours (Nature Medicine), which may help patients avoid high-risk brain surgery; and the first ever pan-molecular characterisation of intracranial meningiomas (Nature).Whatever the occasion, I truly believe that it is an honour to be given the opportunity to help people to celebrate, during their most emotional and memorable life events, in the way that is right for them. Ed Bartlam, founder and owner of entertainment company Underbelly, has supported The Charity since losing his little boy, Alfie, to a brain tumour in 2019. Everybody who’s shortlisted for an award will receive a trip to the Celebrating You Awards ceremony in London (along with a plus one/two) for celebratory drinks and a private viewing of our Time art exhibition. This event is an opportunity for Black women to come and feel seen and supported amongst others with similar experiences in science.
