Description

All in all, the Rokit 8 comes with a ton of strong tuning capabilities that cater to just about any person’s customized listening settings. The main driver is KRK's own yellow colored 8' driver. It is biamped with the high frequency driver and puts out 140 watts of sound. They can get very loud. I would not recommend mixing loud if you plan on spending long periods of time mixing. It's a sturdy monitor that will last a long time. Well suited to the working professional who routinely puts their monitors through their paces. Specification We found that these monitors had a way of reducing some of the listening fatigue many producers experience. Sessions of four or five hours were no huge problem mixing on these speakers, probably in no small part due to the balance of the tone. The bass frequencies aren’t constantly hammering away at your eardrums.

I was pretty much instantly impressed with the sound of the KRK Rokit 8 G2's. While I've certainly heard a lot of pairs of better sounding studio monitors, considering the size and price of these, it's definitely pretty impressive. They're fine for uses of all types in home studios, but not professional mixing. They're fine for mixing at home but if you're a pro, they're not going to be adequate. They have a pretty good bass response for their size, but still do leave something to be desired down low when compared to larger monitors, which of course is to be expected... The onboard DSP allows users to more easily apply crossovers, room corrections, or add tweaks to the polarity settings. Meanwhile, the speaker uses an LCD screen to present any information you’ll need while being fully navigable with the volume control dial. The KRK Audio Tools App With an improved clarity and visual style, richer and more capable sound, and an advanced list of different tuning options, the Rokit 8 pretty much supersedes everything KRK’s Rokit brand has heretofore put out on the market. Large 8" speaker goes really low and you can not only hear but feel the bass. They do not lose the balance when playing audio loudly, home parties will be taken to next level (joke, but if you wanted to, neighbours will enjoy music as well)The sound pressure level has a maximum of 111 dB, and the power outputs at up to 203 watts. This is more than enough for most studio uses and even as DJ monitors. This is in part down to the consistent air pressure behavior delivered from the speaker design. What It Doesn’t There is no set up process involved with these speakers and they are ready to go right away. You can even have them beside your screen or monitor without worrying about the magnets messing up your screen. When I turn these speakers up all the way it still sounds very clean and clear. The bass response is amazing and is probably the sole reason why many people choose to go with the G2 monitors. I have used many other KRK monitors before and all of them are pretty much the same to me except when you start to spend a little more money on them they start sounding a little more crisp in the mid section. True to the KRK name, these front-facing port speakers come with that signature yellow woofer that is beloved by both, professionals and beginners alike. The sound quality of the KRK Rokit 8 G4 is amazing. As with many speakers, they will need to be broken in before they are at their optimum. The balance is acceptable. The low end is a little more prominent, as is typical with KRK. If you don't want to add a subwoofer to your setup, this is ideal. However, it is not suitable for flat response listening. The highs are sharp and clear. Mids are also enjoyable. The sound is warm and soothing, which helps to reduce ear strain.

The KRK Rokit Powered 8 G2 are studio monitors that are powered and made to give a high performance sound all in an affordable speaker for the home musician. I have used these many of times and have never had a bad mix out of them. They have dual power amps in each speaker and a very accurate response curve so it is easy to hear everything that is going on in my mixes. I did have to move them around a lot before I was comfortable with the sound or before I found the “sweet spot” in my studio. The low-end frequencies are handled by an 8-inch Kevlar cone woofer in the KRK Rokit 8 G4. A 1-inch kevlar dome tweeter is used to supplement the lower frequencies. Each driver in a bi-amped arrangement has its own amp to regulate output. The frequency response ranges from 36Hz to 40 kHz. The additional low-end depth helps to the pleasing bass response. There is still enough of space in the high-end for optimal clarity. Options for Tuning

Well, My mix's are coming out much much better. These speakers don't sound amazing to me, (obviously because they are not hyped) but they sound just fine for listening and are quite loud with plenty of bass. Obviously they are designed to translate well not to make you think they sound good. Isn't this the real reason for buying monitors? KRK is a killer sounding monitor that will get you in the ballpark for a decent pair of reference monitors without spending a ton of money. Before I buy these beasts, I went through 10’s of you tube videos to know whether they will be a good addition to my studio. I found allot of controversy, but I’ve decided to get them and decide for my self.
